The "further down under" Morgan club was started in 1975. The quantity of Morgans over there was not high and of course was spread out over the two main islands. Over the years the club has increased in membership.
 
They have issued a number of badges, of which this was the earliest one, in the early 1980s. It is a very flat brass/enamel badge, with a black rim. The New Zealand emblems are separated by an arrow and old styleMorgan wings in the centre. The wings reach over the entire width of the badge.
 
These early badges are now hard to come by. The copies available have been on display since new and have never been on a car. Therefore, the condition is excellent.
