Morgan 1980, or MOG 80 in brief, was the first big international Morgan meeting, which set the trend for more. It took place on the grounds of the Beaulieu Motor Museum and Goodwood racing circuit. Unique it was in several ways. Many of the continental Morgans made the Channel crossing by means of Hovercraft. This resulted in a great photoshoot upon arrival in Dover.
Another fact which made it unique is that the meeting was organised in co-operation between the Morgan Sports Car Club and the Morgan Three Wheeler Club. This never happened before or after!
Also international visitors from all parts of the world were in attendance.
Of the happenings a Super 8 film was produced by STS Film Productions and this was converted into the DVD available here. It brings back sweet memories and shows nice images of the different happenings.
At the same time it is natural in the sense that it the images have not been retouched, moved, etc. A lovely piece of Morgan history.
