Lovely period magazine from Australia re sporting cars and motorcycles and their competiton activities. The early post WW II period was the time that materials were scarce and importing cars expensive. Hence many special competition cars, with "hot" engines were built on basis of old cars or motorcycles.
Examples of these are: the Edelbrook Speed Car, the Rowe "500", the Ford V8 Ballot. The latter was a French 1920s car, fitted with a big V8 engine.
There's plenty of coverage of motor cycle racing activity, but also nice adverts for Jaguar cars, HRG cars, Douglas Motorcycles and many others.
The Morgan 4/4 Drophead Coupé with Standard Special engine is featured, as is the Douglas motorcycle.
The magazine has obviously been used, but survived the 80 years remarkably well. Hard to find now!
