The Morgan Sports Car Club (UK) started life as the Morgan 4/4 Club, back in 1951. In 1971, the club adopted its current name. The original club logo and car badge were shield shape.
 
In 1991, when the club celebrated its 40th anniversary, a special -larger- shield shape badge was issued for the occasion. This revived the interest in the original badge. As many early badges had not survived the test of times, the club decided to make a limited edition re-issue in 1993.
 
These are easily recognisable, as all were stamped with a three-position number on the rear, like the badge on offer, #023.
 
Also, the re-issued badges were made by the club's then current manufacturer, Gladman & Norman, instead of the original manufacturer, Marples & Beasley.
 
As these badges are universally appreciated, these hardly appear on offer.
 
It is therefore a question of "first come, first served" with this pristine condition badge. A great birthday/Xmas present for a dedicated Morganeer.
