Triumph collectables
Triumph and its sister brand Standard, share a lot of history. Although they haven't been together for their entire life, they became very close since Sir John Black owned both of them. The marques also have a strong link with Morgan, going back to pre-WW II.
Standard provided the engines for the Morgan 4/4 Series I from 1939 onwards, with their Standard Special engine, while the 2088cc Standard Vanguard engine was the first one fitted to the Morgan Plus 4 in 1950, later to be succeded by Triumph TR2, TR3 and TR4 engines.
