Back in 1988, it was the period of glasnost in Russia. This enabled a rally of a select number of classic cars, starting from London on 13 May, ending in Moscow 5 days later. The main countries the rally passed through were Germany and Poland, with main stops in Berlin and Warsaw.
 
For the occasion, an oval car badge was issued, featuring a red Alfa Romeo GTV and a green Morgan 4/4.
 
One such badge has surfaced, still in unused condition. It measures 78 mm wide x 78 mm high. A rare find!
