The traditional wings badges on old Morgan 3-wheelers were made of nickel. These are rather thin, while the only way to give them color was by painting them in the way you deemed OK.
 
This high quality grille type badge has either transparent dark blue, dark red or dark green enamel in the rectangle with the name MORGAN, while it has black enamel in the surrounding area and on the lines, separating the wings.
