Morgan's greatest competition achievement in the company's long history is still considered the win in the 2-litre class in the Le Mans 24 Hours race in 1962 by Chris Lawrence and Richard Shepherd-Barron.
 
This historic win had -and in fact still has- enormous impact. The Le Mans Classic events also see to that!
 
In the September 1962 issue of Motor Sport, Morgan placed a half page advert, in which the Morgan +4 Super Sports was mentioned, as well the achievement at Le Mans.
 
This advert is a must have for people interested in this era of Morgan history.
 
Also the Notek fog/spot lamps advertised on the same page appeared as optional extra on Morgans in those days.
