The brand name Jaguar was first used in the mid 1930s. The factory's predecessors were called either Swallow or SS. Of course, a car factory did not want to be associated with war activities, so the SS 1 and SS2 are now better known as SS Jaguars.
 
The beautiful saloon car is now a treasure.
